Light is best observes when reflected from our world or in the sudden moments when it is shining through fragile materials and meets the minds of human beings.
Kari Hunsagers world is filled with color: Her mind, her living space, her appearance and first and foremost, her art. In all her paintings, wether it being watercolor, gouache or oil-painting this fascination is ever-present. From her early watercolor-still-lives through to her oil-paintings from Africa and green-themed organic studies, this shines through.
Her vivid world has brought admiration from both the art-insiders to the general public, and continues to bring joy to all that experience her work. Her special flair for color and light is often derived from details not commonly observed in gardens, pastures and wilderness. In her works a fascination for vivid moments of dance and ballet can also be observed.
